1. What does agreeing to these terms mean?
By accessing or using the Coreshift website or engaging our services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Who is Coreshift?
Coreshift is a web design, business systems, and automation studio based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, South Africa, serving clients across South Africa and internationally. Our services include website design and development, business system integrations, booking and inventory tools, AI-driven automation, print collateral, and ongoing site care and support.
3. When does a project actually start?
Submitting our contact form or emailing us is an enquiry, not a binding order. Project work begins only once we've agreed a scope, timeline, and price with you in writing — typically by email or a signed proposal. Custom and enterprise work is scoped and quoted individually after an initial call.
4. How does payment work?
Pricing shown on our website is indicative; non-standard requirements are scoped and quoted individually. Once a project is confirmed, payment terms — including any deposit, milestone payments, or final balance — are set out in your project agreement or invoice. Monthly care plans are billed in advance and, as described on our Pricing page, can be cancelled at any time with no lock-in contract.
5. Can I cancel or get a refund?
Because our project work is customised to each client, we don't offer blanket refunds once work has begun. Any cancellation or refund terms specific to your project will be set out in your project agreement. Monthly care plans can be cancelled at any time; cancelling stops future billing but does not refund the current billing period.
6. Who owns the work?
Once your project is paid in full, you own the final deliverables created specifically for it — for example, your website's design and content. Coreshift retains ownership of its own pre-existing tools, code, frameworks, and methodologies used to build your project, and may reuse general, non-confidential techniques in future work. Content on the Coreshift website itself, including our branding, copy, and site design, remains our property and may not be reproduced without permission.
7. What about third-party services we use?
Our work often integrates third-party platforms — for example, hosting providers, payment processors, CRMs, or automation tools. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms, and we're not responsible for their availability, pricing, or policies.
8. What can't I use the site for?
You agree not to use our website or services to: interfere with or disrupt the Service; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems; submit false or malicious information through our forms; or engage in any unlawful activity.
9. Do you guarantee the service?
The Service is provided "as is." While we take care to build secure, reliable systems, we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
10. What's the limit on liability?
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coreshift will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project.
11. What law governs these terms?
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
12. Will these terms change?
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
